MAJOR HOUSING DEVELOPMENT, CASTLE OAKS

A residential development of ca. 120 properties is being built on land off Monmouth Road, Castle Oaks, Usk. Whilst this is particularly troubling for residents of the properties immediately adjacent to the new development, other Usk residents may have concerns with regard to the impact of such a large increase in population on public amenities, services (e.g. doctors, dentists, schools), parking capacity and traffic congestion. On the other hand, shopkeepers, pub and restaurant owners and other service providers may well be delighted by the prospect of additional business.
